A PASSION TO LEARN

While our academic roots are in a traditional, college preparatory curriculum, we also inspire students to dig deeper into their unique God-given talents and interests.

The BA vision statement proclaims that the school is committed to delivering "exceptional academics in a Christ-centered environment."  This is lived out in the quality of our faculty who are leading learning in our classrooms. 55% of our teaching faculty have post baccalaureate degrees and are skilled in their craft.

Our faculty are gifted at recognizing that academic excellence looks different for each student. They are committed to the mission and ministry of Brentwood Academy and care not just for the academic side of each student, but for their whole person. This is achieved through relationships that are forged with students in smaller classroom settings, through regular collaborative meetings with their colleagues in each grade, and through working with student advisors who know our students deeply.

Our programs include opportunities for 34 honors and 32 Advanced Placement courses in each discipline, as well as exemplary fine arts experiences for a complete liberal arts education. 37% of our BA students are enrolled in one of these elevated course offerings. 100% of our graduating class is accepted to a four-year university year after year. hfjkadshfakjlshakjsldhfakjsdlgfhls

LIFE AT BA

What is it like to be a Brentwood Academy student?

The answer can be found on the faces of students engaged in all aspects of student life—learning both inside and outside the classrooms, visiting with friends in the hallways and around the campus, participating in athletic events as a team member or fan, sharing small and large group devotions and Bible study, or enjoying the varied fine arts opportunities.

1 PETER 4:10 (NIV; BA THEME VERSE 2001-2002)

ACADEMIC SUPPORT

Student Academic Support is structured by team members responsible for monitoring the academic progress of each student and promoting effective communication between students, grade chairs, faculty, coaches, and parents. The department supports students taking ownership of their academic progress and making appropriate decisions toward their academic goals.

The department is committed to fostering academic growth and responsibility by providing the following:

  • Academic support throughout the upper school years (grades 9-12)
  • Evening Education Empowerment (E3) sessions with faculty
  • Tutorials and scheduled teacher assistance meetings
  • Collegiate athletic eligibility center monitoring

These services promote a philosophy of individual responsibility and encourage each student to value and contribute to his or her educational experience. Students develop the skills needed to reach academic and athletic goals, become leaders within the school community, and pursue successful and productive lives grounded in Christian values.
