THE BA FUND

Your yearly gifts to the BA Annual Fund bridge the gap between tuition and the full cost of a Brentwood Academy education. It supports the general operating budget and additional programs and activities that directly benefit students.

 

 

ENDOWMENT FUNDS

Gifts to Brentwood Academy Endowed Funds provide income to BA in perpetuity.


IRA ROLL OVERS

If you are 70 ½ or older and taking mandatory income distributions from your IRA, you can avoid the income tax generated by these distributions by directing a gift directly from your IRA to Brentwood Academy. You can direct up to $100,000 per year – it’s a great tax planning tool. Brentwood Academy can also take gifts in the form of stock. Let us show you how.

 

ALUMNI BRICKS

We invite our alumni to participate in our Alumni Garden by purchasing an alumni brick.
The bricks are a focal point of the garden and a beautiful way to recognize your time at BA.
Each brick symbolizes the foundation and the path taken by our Brentwood Academy graduates.
Every brick that is purchased is inscribed with the alum’s name and graduation year.
Alumni bricks are a wonderful way to honor a Brentwood Academy graduate!

MEMORIAL GIFTS

Honor the memory of a friend or loved one and continue his or her legacy when you make a Memorial Gift to Brentwood Academy. BA will notify the family of the tribute and include it in the Annual Impact Report.

 

PLANNED GIFTS

Donors can remember the school through their estate plans or other deferred giving arrangements
such as charitable remainder trusts, life insurance policies, retirement plan assets, or real estate.
A deferred gift through your estate is a simple way to make a positive impact on Brentwood Academy.
Larger deferred gifts may establish endowment funds, creating a lasting impact. By providing for
Brentwood Academy in your estate plans, you enhance the lives of future students for generations to come. 


MATCHING GIFTS

Did you know you can double or even triple your impact to Brentwood Academy with a corporate match? Experts estimate that billions of dollars in matching gift funds are unclaimed each year. Do you or your spouse work for one of the many companies with a matching gift program? Check with your HR Department and ask if your company has or would consider a matching gift program.

In a span of 50 years, Brentwood Academy has graduated more than 3,000 alumni. Each year, a new group of graduates hears "...be seated, Alumni!" from the headmaster, and begins their journey after BA. DEVELOPMENT

MARCHING FORWARD IN FAITH

The next phase of building projects in Brentwood Academy’s master plan reflects the Forward in Faith vision. Growing out of our strategic plan and supported by our mission and statement of faith, these projects will enhance the impact of BA’s mission, benefitting each family while providing a tangible sign of the school’s commitment to Christ.

The Forward in Faith vision is a multiyear plan, and we are early in this journey. God has blessed our school through generous and enthusiastic donors, committing more than $5 million in the first phase. During this phase, planning and design work took place, city approvals were obtained for upcoming projects, and a major renovation of our fitness center in The Rock was completed. The master plan contains many exciting elements and requires a long-term strategy to complete all phases. The next two Forward in Faith phases approved by the Board of Trustees include the following:

  • An enclosed chapel and a new traffic-controlled main entrance at Virginia Way, with an additional 60 parking spaces,
  • The Bill and Beth Brown Center for Academics and Student Life, and
  • Updates to the existing campus, which will be integrated into each phase.

Christ-centered relationships are the heartbeat of Brentwood Academy, and our master plan will provide intentional spaces for our BA community to worship, learn, and grow, to nurture and challenge each other for generations to come.
